കണ്ണീര്ക്കഥകളും അമ്മായിയമ്മ-മരുമകള് പോരുമായിരുന്നു ഏക്ത നിര്മ്മിച്ചിരുന്ന ടിവി സീരിയലുകളുടെ പ്രധാന കഥാതന്തുവെങ്കില് സിനിമയില് ഏക് ത പ്രാധാന്യം നല്കുന്നത് ലൈഗീംഗതക്കും വയലന്സിനുമാണ്. പോയ വര്ഷങ്ങളില് പ്രേക്ഷകരെ ഹരം കൊള്ളിച്ച ഡേര്ട്ടി പിക്ചര്, രാഗിണി എംഎംഎസ് സീരീസ്, ഷൂട്ടൗട്ട് അറ്റ് ലോക്കണ്ഡ്വാല, ഷൂട്ടൗട്ട് അറ്റ് വാഡാല, ലവ് ആന്ഡ് സെക്സ് ഓര് ധോക്ക ഹോട്ട് തുടങ്ങി ഏക്തയുടെ നിര്മ്മാണത്തില് പുറത്തു വന്ന ചിത്രങ്ങളെല്ലാം തികഞ്ഞ ലൈംഗീക ചുവയുള്ളതായിരുന്നു. അവയില് മിക്കതും 'എ' സര്ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റുമായാണ് തിയ്യറ്ററുകളില് പ്രദര്ശനത്തിനെത്തിയതും. എന്നാല് കണ്ടതും കാണിച്ചതുമൊന്നും പോരെന്നാണ് ഈ വനിതാ നിര്മ്മാതാവിന്റെ പക്ഷം.

'I'M VERY FOND OF RANBIR'Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor ended their relationship and went their separate ways last year, but the actress still wants to work with her ex-beau.
"Ranbir is someone I'm very fond of ,I'm really looking forward to working with him because I think we have not worked enough together," the 24 -year-old actress said.

On asked what kind of men she would like to tie the knot with,she said:"He should accept me with all my flaws. So it's also about the layers of romance that one feels," she said. "As girls , we all dream of this typical fairytale wedding, that's what i hope for . But definitely I'll go for an Indian wedding . However, I'am not getting married for another eight-10 years," Padukone said

Priyanka Chopra talks about the challenge of playing an older women in 7 Khoon Maaf
From a 21 -year old to a 65 year old ,priyanka Chopra portrays almost every crucial stage in a woman's life in her new thriller 7Khoon Maaf. But she says stepping into the shoes of a 40 plus character was the toughest as she couldn't connect to the age group.
"the 20's was my age , so it was fine and not so difficult; 30's was some thing I could expect and somehow imagined. The 50's and 60's were still easier to do because you become a lot more older so your body language is like that."But the 40's was the middle period, so it was very difficult. You are not very old but you are not young either . So to get that correctly was a task,"Priyanka,28, said.
The film which will be showcased at Berlinale, is the big screen adaptation of Ruskin Bond's short story Susannah's Seven Husbands. When Vishal Bharadwaj, who had earlier adapted Blue Umbrella by the grand old "sahib" from Landour in Musourie, decided to make a movie on it the author expanded the few -page short tale into an 80-page novella and then into a 200 page full length Hindi movie script.
"It's a very entertaining and wicked movie . It's amusing and not serious. It's a stir which makes it very interesting,"said the actress, who proved her versatility as a highly ambitious model in issue-based movie Fashion for which she won the National Award.7Khoon Maaf is slated for a February 18th release. This is Priyanka's second film with Bharadwaj after the 2009 release Kaminey and the actress has no qualms in saying that the director knows how to exploit her potential.
"Vishal has always brought out the best in me and this time too he has given me one of the most challenging parts and actor can get. I'm capable enough to pull it off ,"she said.
"There is a lot of responsibility on you when you work with a director like him. He is the kind of person who gives you the scene and says 'Okay, do it now '. No instructions. After I give my first take, he tweaks it a little bit .So the responsibility as an actor is completely on you, which is very scary," she added.
The actress says the role demanded a lot from her.
"It was emotionally and physically very draining and I used to take out all my tantrums on Vishal. We used to fight like anything. He used to yell at me and I used to yell back. But then we used to make up," she said.
The former Miss World is happy that she is being offered powerful roles in Bollywood.
Nobody offers me films where I don't have good role. All my films have very power packed parts for me. I’m grateful that people say that I'm the only one who can do those roles. It's never been a conscious effort, but obviously if I'm doing a film, I would want a good role in it," specified Priyanka.
The actress will next be seen in different avatar in Anurag Basu's Barfee, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor.

She is one of the most beautiful women in the Hindi film industry, but surprisingly no one has ever written any romantic poems for Katrina Kaif, who believes love is the most beautiful thing in the world. The actress now wants veteran lyricist Gulzar to pen one for her.
“Nobody has ever written a poem for me. But if actually someone writes a poem for me, I think that will be very romantic,” she said at the launch of Pritish Nandy’s book of love poems Tonight, This Savage Rite.
Katrina, 26, surprised everyone at the function when she said, “I want Gulzar saab to write poems for me.”
Gulzar, 74, who has written innumerable songs for Hindi films and has many poetry books to his credit, was present at the event and said, “Inshallah, I would write a poem for Katrina for sure.”
“Even though love is known to entail pain, disappointment, disillusionment, still I don’t want to be pessimistic about love. I would rather want to have a positive approach to love. I believe that there can be a happy ending, because love is the most beautiful thing in the world,” she said.
