Dancing On Ice... walking on air! Emmerdale star Hayley Tammaddon and Dan Whiston top the leader board after soaring semi-final display

Sunday night was all about winning a place in the final - and show favourites Hayley Tammaddon and Dan Whiston made great strides towards next Sunday's show with two accomplished performances that saw them top the leader board.
The couple performed second on the night, but there was initial concern earlier in the week when Dan tore a bicep during rehearsals.
The injury meant they had limited rehearsal time ahead of the live show and the skate to Ellie Goulding's How Long Will I Love You.

But despite their concerns the pairing got a full house - 40 points - following a  memorable performance.
'That's the most complete performance we've seen on Dancing on Ice,' said Karen Barber, adding: 'Thank you, it was beautiful.,
'That was quite possibly one of the most beautiful things I've seen here,' agreed Jason. '
Their performance was proceeded by show opener Sam Attwater, who performed with partner Vicky Ogden after spending much of the week squeezing in rehearsals while traversing the country with his day job treading the boards in Seven Brides For Seven Brothers.
The pair, previously in the skate-off on no less than four occasions, were hoping to win a place in the final with an energetic skate to Robbie Williams hit Let Me Entertain You – and the judges scores were promising.

The pair won a total of 36.5 with scores of 9 from every judge except hard to please Jason Gardner – who awarded them a 9.5 before admitting the performance was ‘spot on.’
‘It was fun it was fast it was furious,’ said former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts. ‘A great way to start the semi-final.’
