Cranky Zoo Cat Has Following

A fierce-looking Pallas's cat has become a favorite with visitors to the Zurich Zoo, making humanlike expressions that appear to range from angry to irritable

 Do cats really land on their feet? This one does. Lucky fell 26 stories and survived. In early May, Keri Hostetler was readying her lower Manhattan apartment for guests who were coming to visit. She cracked the window of her home office a few inches just to air the place out. When she left the room to do laundry, her 3-year-old cat Lucky wandered into the room and out the window. But the aptly-named feline survived the 26-floor free fall with only minor injuries
 It's easy to see why this kitty has been dubbed Princess Chunk. At 44 pounds, she's about four times the weight of a healthy cat. According to the New York Post, the fleshy feline's condition could be a combination of bad genetics and way too much (you guessed it) food

 Santa Fe Animal Shelter veterinarian Dr. Jennifer Steketee holds Meow, a 2-year-old tabby at the shelter in Santa Fe, N.M. Meow, arrived at the shelter weighing in at over 39 pounds, after his elderly owner could no longer care for the feline. Meow died of heart failure after his story went viral

 Oscar the cat has an uncanny ability to predict when people are about to die. The nursing home cat, seen here at the Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Providence, Rhode Island, is the subject of a new book called "Making Rounds With Oscar: The Extraordinary Gift of an Ordinary Cat." Dr. David Dosa, the book's author, says that Oscar has correctly predicted 50 deaths in a five year period. Oscar previously made it into the New England Journal of Medicine after the cat curled up next to 25 patients right before they died. The hospital even gave him a plaque for providing compassionate hospice care
 A 41-pound fat cat named Skinny is seen at the Richardson, Texas, Animal Services shelter on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012. A shelter spokeswoman says the 5-year-old orange tabby was dropped off at the facility last week, seems healthy except she is too heavy and likely has diabetes, and needs a home

 A Utah cat, Andrea, is up for adoption at Community Animal Welfare Society, after surviving two euthanizing attempts, according to WPTV.com. She was turned over to the Community Animal Welfare Society,(CAWS), which hopes that Andrea will become their "mascot" against the use of gas chambers

 The staff at a British animal shelter say no one will adopt a six-week-old kitten because of a black mark under its nose resembling Adolf Hitler's mustache. The kitten, who was found severely malnourished by a roadside has been nicknamed "Kitler." Spokeswoman Tara Dundon from Wood Green animal shelter said: "Kitler is an adorable little girl who will make a wonderful addition to the right family. She is really playful and a typical sweet kitten."

 Bub the cat was born with several genetic mutations that has made her an internet viral hit. According to Bub's facebook page, the perma-kitten "will stay kitten sized and maintain kitten-like features her entire life." Bub has been featured in several Youtube videos and has her own twitter account
 At 22 pounds, stocky Socrates is more than double the size of a regular cat. But after his vet said the cat was too fat to move, he was put on the strictest of diets, reported the U.K.'s Daily Mail. As one of nine finalists in Pet Fit Club, the U.K.'s People's Dispensary for Sick Animals' annual diet competition, he has 100 days to reach his target weight of 9.9 pounds. No more onion crisps, no more cheese. And he only gets to eat half the amount of food he's been used to. "Because he's long-haired, I hadn't noticed how big his belly was getting," his owner Bill Duncan told the Daily Mail. "When I feed him now, he scoffs it down and looks at me as if to say, 'Where's the rest of it?'"

 Is Rupert the cat the world's biggest kitty? Already weighing in at about 20 pounds, the giant breed Maine coon cat is three times bigger than the average cat. Rupert has also been named cat-of-the-year three times in Australia according to the Daily Mail
Caffrey, the black persian cat, has two legs -- both on the same side of its body after it was hit by a car according to the Daily Mail
