Katy Perry wows in corseted tigress outfit for stunning X Factor performance

When it comes to standing out in sexy on-stage outfits, Katy Perry is a pro.

And the 28-year-old singer managed it once again on Sunday night to make a stunning appearance on The X Factor.

Katy wore a corseted tigress outfit as she belted out her hit single Roar, much to the delight of the eager audience and judges Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne, Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh.

The stunning brunette showed off her feminine figure in the outfit, which nipped her in at the waist, as she showed the X Factor finalists just how its done with her amazing vocal gymnastics.
Katy topped off her outfit with pair of tiger ears, elbow-length gloves, a slick of red lipstick and a thick gold chain necklace.

She was joined by bizarre mask-wearing dancers with briefcases, who danced around her as she sang on top of a platform.
The dancers then shed their suits to reveal animal-print metallic jumpsuits more in keeping with the song's theme.

Speaking to The X Factor host Dermot O'Leary after the performance, Katy said: 'I get to dress up like a big cat so I love  this song. I feel grrreat!'

And when Dermot asked her if she would ever consider being an X Factor judge herself, Katy replied: 'Oh my goodness, I would to give constructive criticisim because it's actually really hard out there when you're an artist!'

In fact, Katy was actually a guest judge on a previous series of the show, in an episode which saw her put Niall Horan through to the next round.

And referring to her choice, Katy said: 'I like that I let Niall through. He's now in a little band called One Direction!'

Katy's performance on The X Factor came after she opened up in an interview in The Sunday Times' Culture magazine about the darkest period of her life, in which she said she stayed in bed for two weeks.
She said: 'I’m not the kind of person that is always, like, "What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger". I was in bed for about two weeks. I was pretty f*****, yes. It hurt a lot — I got a good knock. What I wanted to call this record at first was Adult Reality, because Teenage Dream was me so high on that cotton-candy cloud, and then it’s like I got punched in the face and kicked down the stairs a couple of times. I had to face the reality that things are not always on cloud nine.'

Katy added: 'I was down and out, I’d lost hope, all of my self-confidence had been shattered. Unfortunately, although I had a lot of outward self-identity, I didn’t have the inner kind, I hadn’t built that up. My self-worth was in someone else’s hands, which is never a good idea, because it can be taken from you at any time.

'And it was, and it was shattered. But I don’t do that any more. And that has taken quite a lot of work. I’ve had to do a lot of self-identification, a lot of self-observing, in the past year. I’ve done a lot of self-reflection, a lot of therapy.'

It is believed the time Katy was referring to was following her split from husband Russell Brand.

Katy wasn't the only guest performer of the evening on Sunday night's X Factor, with Robin Thicke also taking to the stage to perform his hit Blurred Lines, accompanied by swimsuit clad female dancers who had the song title painted all over their bodies.

Clearly enjoying the performance, the judges were seen standing and dancing along to the tune as Robin danced around among the crowd.

Speaking to Dermot after the performance, Robin said that he had his eye on another person to add to his dance troupe, adding: 'I've seen Sharon Osbourne dance and it is a sexy thing!'
