The sporting legend who is now Hollywood’s latest star

When Sylvester Stallone offers up a role in one of the more successful action film franchises in recent years, it's hard to turn him down — even when you're busy being a pioneer in your sport.

That was the case for UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey when Sly brought her in for the part of Luna in "The Expendables 3."
The third instalment of the series features a mix of former and current box office heavyweights like Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jason Statham.
There are also newcomers to the ensemble in this go-round like Mel Gibson, Wesley Snipes and Harrison Ford. All proven stars.
Then there's Rousey, who is making her feature film debut.
It would be understandable for Rousey to be out of her league among these giants of the silver screen.
But after hearing from the Hollywood legends on the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of the film Monday, the 27-year-old acting novice more than held her own on the set.
